At the Rotary Club of Northglenn and Thornton, we race thousands of rubber ducks in Northglenn, and the first 50+ ducks across the line win a prize. Adopting a duck is easy, choose how many ducks you’d like to be a part of your family and you’ll be off to the races.
1st Place = $2,000
2nd Place = $1,000
3rd Place and after = Numerous prizes that have ranged from bikes, TVs, and gift cards
*Most prizes are worth more than $35, and we usually have over 50 winners!

Different Ways To Adopt A Duck
Decorate a small rubber ducky and post it to our Facebook page to enter our Best Dressed Duck Contest. The post with the most likes (minimum of 20) will win!
Buy a giant corporate duck for $100 to enter the Best Dressed Corporate Duck contest. We deliver those ducks and post your pictures you submit online for voting. The winner of this race gets a separate prize!
Businesses can decorate their giant duck any way they want and submit it to our Best Dressed Corporate Contest. The winner here gets a separate prize as well!
Our Northglenn/Thornton Rotary Club is a group of 100% volunteers that simply like each other and enjoy helping the community. All funds raised go back to the community to support local food drives, local scholarships for young adults going to college, local children in need, and many, many more local projects.
